Our Educational Partnerships and Affiliations
We are licensed by the Ohio State Board of Career Colleges and Schools and affiliated with one of the largest university systems in the United States – The State University of New York (SUNY) – as well as other institutions that accept IIN’s Health Coach Training Program to be applied towards relevant degree programs. We have earned recognition by the National Board for Health and Wellness Coaching (NBHWC) as an approved program provider, as well as recognition by other organizations that allow graduates of IIN to apply for membership.

Associations that Recognize IIN’s Health Coach Training Program and Our Graduates
As the Health Coach industry continues to grow, so do the career and professional development opportunities for IIN graduates. Learn more about the associations based in the U.S. and internationally that provide IIN graduates eligibility for certification, membership, and continuing education.
National Board for Health and Wellness Coaching (NBHWC)
Institute for Integrative Nutrition’s Coaching Intensive Practicum 2.0 is an Approved Health and Wellness Coach Training & Education Program by the National Board for Health and Wellness Coaching (NBHWC). Graduates of this program are eligible to apply for the HWC Certifying Examination to become a National Board-Certified Health & Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC).
Once you become board-certified, you must complete 36 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) every three years with an approved program provider to maintain certification. IIN’s Advanced and Specialty Courses are approved by the NBHWC to fulfill this requirement.
Qualifi
Qualifi has recognized the quality of IIN’s Health Coach Training Program (HCTP) and, through their accreditation status, has awarded HCTP with the equivalent of 120 UK credits and 30 U.S. academic credits.
International Coaching Federation (ICF)
IIN’s Coaching Intensive Practicum (CIP) is an ICF-accredited Continuing Coach Education (CCE) Program. The ICF requires coaches to earn 40 CCE credits every three years in order to maintain their ICF coaching credentials. Of these 40 CCE credits, 24 must be core competency credits. IIN’s Coaching Intensive Practicum (CIP) is eligible for 40 CCE credits, satisfying 36 core competency credits plus 4 resource development credits.
The Health Coach Alliance (HCA)
This membership-based organization aims to bring Health Coaches together from all across North America (Canada; United States; Mexico) to foster professional and personal growth. Graduates of IIN’s Health Coach Training Program and Coaching Intensive Practicum (CIP) are eligible to apply to become members.
International Association of Health Coaches (IAHC)
As the world’s largest alliance of Health Coaches and wellness professionals, the IAHC works to position Health Coaches as an integral part of an emerging preventative health care model. Graduates of IIN’s Health Coach Training Program are eligible to take the IAHC certification exam to become a Certified International Health Coach (CIHC), as well as able to become members of the IAHC with great membership perks.
Health Coaches Australia and New Zealand Association (HCANZA)
This membership-based organization offers graduates of IIN’s Health Coach Training Program and Coaching Intensive Practicum (CIP) the ability to apply for their Professional Membership, which includes many opportunities for career growth, networking, and support.
UK International Health Coach Association (UKIHCA)
Dedicated to advancing the health coaching profession in the United Kingdom and Ireland, IIN is in the renewal process for obtaining full approval for The Health Coach Training Program and Coaching Intensive Practicum under its new standards.
Colleges & Universities Where IIN Graduates Can Pursue Higher Education with their IIN Certificate
IIN is strategically partnered with institutions that provide a variety of educational pathways for our graduates, including continuing education as well as bachelor’s, master’s, and doctorate degrees! Each institution offers unique opportunities for IIN graduates to further their health and wellness education that can be tailored to each individual.
The National College Credit Recommendation Service (NCCRS)
NCCRS partners with over 1300 colleges and universities in the U.S. and Canada to recommend college credits for non-traditional programs. These 1300 colleges and universities agree to accept NCRSS recommendations tailoring each recommendation for specific degree programs. Your completion of the Health Coach Training Program is likely accepted for college credit at your local college.

Our graduates who hold an undergraduate degree may choose from two MUIH Graduate Degrees to enroll with advanced standing: M.A. in Health Coaching with an Area of Concentration in Nutrition or M.S. in Nutrition and Integrative Health.

Goddard College
At Goddard College you complete most of your studies from home. Our graduates may have up to 40 credits accepted toward Goddard's Health Arts & Sciences, Sustainability, or Individualized BA degrees. MA applicants may be eligible for Goddard's accelerated graduate degree in the Goddard Graduate Institute. Our graduates are eligible to receive a $1,000 grant for Goddard's BA programs.

Our graduates are eligible to receive 6 graduate credits toward a M.A. in Integrative Health Studies. The M.A. degree program includes a Certificate in Integrative Wellness Coaching and Wellness Management and a Certificate in Guided Imagery.
